---- Chapter 150 Jonathan had one hand gripping my shoulder and the other wrapped tightly around me. "What are you running from?" He looked down at me, and the moment I tilted my head back, Imet those deep, dark eyes of his-cold and distant, completely devoid of emotion. The night behind him was heavy and dark, as if it were a part of him. There was a faint scent of tobacco lingering on his clothes. Suddenly , I remembered the dim red glow I'd seen inside the parked car earlier.

He must've been smoking. I frowned, clearly annoyed. "Let go of me." Of course, Jonathan didn't. Instead, he pulled me even closer. Done with the meeting?" struggled, trying to push him off, refusing to answer. Then, suddenly, he leaned down and bit hard at the corner of my mouth. "If you're done, then come home." His expression was so dark, I couldn't read what he was feeling. I knew he was probably angry, but I had no idea why he was here looking for me. I thought he'd stopped caring.
We'd been married for five years, but I'd lost all memory of ---- that time, so I didn't really know him. All I had was a rough idea of what kind of man he was. Right now, looking at him like this, I had no clue what he might do next. Every warning bell in my head went off, and I shoved him hard. To my surprise , he let go. I stepped back, met his gaze, and said, "You should go.

I'm not going back to the Ford residence for the next few days." As soon as I turned to leave, Jonathan's face darkened. Without a word, he stepped forward and lifted me straight onto his shoulder. "What are you doing?" The ground dropped out from under me, and I let out a scream. Eyes wide, I shouted , "What are you doing? Put me down!" Jonathan didn't say a word. He just marched forward and threw me straight into the car. This time, he was driving a black Brabus.

Out of all the luxury cars in his garage, this one was considered relatively low-key. I tried to sit up, but he leaned over and strapped me into the passenger seat, like he was restraining me. Then he shut the door, walked around to the driver's side, got in, and slammed on the gas. The car shot forward like an arrow. ---- Just as I tried to sit up again, the sudden acceleration slammed me back into the seat.

All I could do was grip the handle and glare at him coldly." Jonathan, what the hell are you doing? Stop acting crazy!" He said nothing, just turned the steering wheel, eyes locked on the road. Streetlights flashed past us, casting flickering shadows across our faces. The trees lining the road painted overlapping patterns on the windows. His expression looked even colder beneath the shifting light. I kicked the door out of frustration , but he didn't even flinch.
Itook a deep breath, my voice shaking. "Jonathan, what exactly are you trying to do? Can you say something?" Still, silence. It wasn't long before the car pulled up in front of a high-end apartment building. The guard station was lit, and a security guard came out immediately to open the gate. Jonathan hadn't spoken a single word the entire way. His silence scared me, but I had no choice except to sit there and endure it. He drove the car down into the underground parking garage.

I turned to him at once. "What are you trying to do? Jonathan, I know you're angry, but-" ---- Before I could finish, he suddenly opened his door with a loud bang, cutting me off. His steps were steady, his face unreadable -but I could feel the tension radiating off him like a warning. Within seconds, he was at my side of the car. He opened the door, reached in, and picked me up. I struggled, but he slung me over his shoulder again.

The sudden shift made my head spin, and I couldn't help but pound on his back. "Jonathan, you're insane!"
